Dogma Noveau

via Meteer

"I would like to make you aware of Dogma Noveau.

The site contains loads of dogmatic music, free to download. Every piece has its own story!

'Dogma Noveau is about creating conceptual music from a predetermined rule (Dogma) which is collectively decided during the gathering of Dogm:ites. These exotic occasions occur on a monthly to bi-monthly irregular basis and are performed in combination with intake of fuel for body and mind. At these gatherings, the results from previous round are played loud through a sound-amplification system, and the artistic works are described/defended/saluted with merry cheers from the Dogm:ites present at this unique and joyous occasion. Normally the host of the gathering is obligated to define the next rule, and a new date is set (and often, changed).'

Huba&Silica

"Huba&Silica it's about to drop a new single called FLASH on march the 26th on Beatport. Recorded and mixed in Costa Rica and mastered in UK by Simon Davey (link), the track was built using the moog voyager and native instruments battery only, sequenced on Live 8.

To celebrate the track and "Flash" it real good, we have also printed a Zine that graphically reinterprets, with a huge dose of sarcasm, the song lyrics about the process by which we stop building our own personality, and favor the building of a character instead. All of our art is created in collaboration with the costarican artists Pablo Murillo (www.pablomurillo.com) and Manuel Al-Ghassani (www.sorryzorrito.com).

You can listen the full track and remixes in hubasilica.bandcamp.com or you can also search for Huba&Silica in iTunes and Beatport.

"here's a full album for free download [wait for the site to load - the top link enrmp243 is the download]. about half of em use matrix-12.. its the sound like square water..tracks 1 and 4 use 2-3 instances of alchemy from camel audio. recorded live using 12 controllers..they are "note on and hold" type of granular sampler patches. everything else is logic pro, soundhack and spear(sine type of resynthesis editor). well..thats the technical stuff anyway:) hope you like the aural experience as well.

this is my 6th album released under my real name. they are all free and can be found thru soundcloud.com/jari-pitkanen"
